2011 Matthias Müller Mandelstein Riesling Beerenauslese

Unbelievable Beerenauslese with Botrytis & Ripe Fruit from the Mittelrhein

​This beerenauslese riesling has an epic 214 grams per liter of residual sugar but it is so much more than just sweetness. It has a wonderful nose full of ripe grape and light botrytis tones. On the palate it is a fruit cocktail of apricot and lychee over pineapple and honey with an endless finish. This marvelous wine would pair well with most cheeses, nuts, fruit and strong desserts, but try it alone first to appreciate the exquisite character of this extravagant wine.

This riesling is made from grapes grown on a specific vineyard tract called Bopparder Hamm Mandelstein which the VDP gives its best classification, “grand.”
